I had these guys do a long distance move (2 hours over the state line) and they exceeded my expectations. They loaded up three large storage units with extremely heavy furniture and boxes. They met me at my unloading location and worked diligently through all the storms that had lasted all day. Their work ethic is unmatched. They ended the job by unloading all of my things in the most organized fashion. They really helped me out. Professional, communicative, responsible.

They are the best! Careful, but efficient. Always send enough people to make sure the job goes smoothly. Worked with us to place furniture where we thought we wanted it, then cheerfully moved it all around when we changed our minds. All of our belongings came out of storage in more or less the same shape they went in and they've never broken anything in any of our moves. When they realized one piece of a table was broken they went back to the warehouse same day to retrieve it and put the table together. Not the cheapest but we thought reasonably priced for the care they take. Highly recommend!

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $7411

Although the crew was running 30 min behind the time they told me they would be arriving, but they called me in advance and let me know. This allowed me more prep time before they arrived. I moved on their cheaper days (Sun-Thurs) and opted to pay in cash which saves money. My move was 3-4 bedroom house with garage and boy having 4 men to move me made ALL the world of difference. Most companies I called were only going to send 2 men. David and his crew were so friendly, masked up, polite, careful, and wasted no time. Loaded in and unloaded (15 min less drive to new location) in 4 hours!!! Keep in mind this was only done because I did my leg word for David and his crew to come and just grab -n- go without NO packing, breaking down, taking apart anything and minimal wrapping. Loved that I had paid the deposit, which helped me out cash wise because it gets applied to balance on spot. Hell ya I WILL use them again and recommend to anyone!!! Thanks David and Crew.

I couldn't recommend them highly enough. They arrived right on time, were super friendly, helpful and efficient - taking extra care with each piece of furniture, wrapping everything up and ensuring it was carefully moved and securely placed in the truck. When unloading, they constantly made sure that each piece was being placed exactly where I wanted it and even offered to help unpack many of the items. The entire move took less time than I anticipated, not a single item was damaged and the final price was just very slightly above the (very affordable) estimate. While moving can be a stressful event, the helpful and friendly nature of the gentlemen from Great Nation Moving made it a calm, relaxing and smooth process.

They were awesome! They were very polite and friendly even when we realized my move was going to take longer than originally planned. All of my large furniture and fragile items were wrapped well and he helped pack the kitchen items efficiently. He was super helpful and made sure all the trash was taken to the dumpster. He was a big help as a 3rd person to move things along quicker (he was called in on his day off). All 3 gentlemen were easy to work with and extremely helpful. I sincerely appreciated their patience and kindness! Next time I know to request packing help the day before and move the next day!! I appreciated the quick response to my initial inquiry. Only recommendation, it’s time for a new truck!!! All my items fit fine, but I kept my fingers crossed the truck wouldn’t break down!!!

They responded to my move request within minutes and was able to schedule the move for the very next day. Movers arrived on time and were both punctual and professional. After I showed them the furniture that needed to be moved, they loaded the truck much faster than I expected. They also handled everything with great care while unloading into the storage unit. I was very pleased with the entire process and will definitely be calling them again for any future moving needs.

First off, I had to contact them last minute and they accommodated a full house move last minute. They arrived on time the next day, prepped, and ready to go. They had to trucks, and 4 movers. It went as seamless as you would want and expect out of a 5 bedroom house move. They were polite, asked where everything needed to go, accommodated all requests, de-assembled and assembled all furniture, and didn’t have any marks or touches to any walls which is incredible if you think about it. Overall this had to be one of the easiest, but yet smoothest moves we have had yet. We will be using them for all future moves. Thank you so much for making our move a great experience (especially during one of the most stressful times). A+++++++, can’t recommend them enough. I would suggest anyone use them, amazing team!!!!

From the beginning to end their entire team was friendly and professional. Everyone was accommodating and understanding in our chaos of moving. My former landlord was being verbally abusive to the movers and myself. The mover team was extremely professional with de-escalating the situation. Everything was moved with care and respect. Thank you guys!! When our family moves again can we request you guys?? Would definitely recommend to anyone that desires a positive moving experience.

The crew did a fantastic job in packing the trailer. They were on time, they hurried in getting the job done and their packing would have been more than I would done. But, I bet my stuff won’t get damaged in transit. It was impressive work. Not only do they handle local, they also can do out of state moves. I wish, I knew that, because they would of been my loader & unloaded. If you use this company, you too would be impressed with their workmanship. Every time I tried to help, they would say, please you sit down and let us work for you. They were very polite.

I had a fantastic experience with David and the whole team. They were extremely professional and very communicative. They packed up my furniture, boxes and all my extra fragile stuff like plants, lamps, and mirrors. They put everything away where I asked, and even set up and fixed furniture once we got to my new b place. They had a great attitude throughout the whole process, which I especially appreciated. I would highly recommend them - they made moving stress-free!

We hired them and moved. The house was 3,600 SF with many rare antiques, oil paintings, and large heavy furniture. Two trucks, 5 experience packers and movers. They immediately stated, packed up the house in 1/12 days. Everything was meticulously wrapped, and carefully handled. The unloading went just as smooth. Not one item was damaged and no damage to the home we left or moved to. Everything was executed perfectly. There were no surprises on the estimate, what I was told and signed in the agreement was exactly what I paid. The moving crew was efficient, hard workers, very respectful of our items and polite. They were easy to work with on moving dates. The key, lock in the dates with a deposit as soon as you can. They book up very quickly. This is a high quality professional moving company that I highly recommend.

David and his team did an outstanding job with our apartment move within the complex. From the initial quote to the final box being placed, everything went exactly as promised. They arrived on time with two other movers and a large box truck that easily accommodated all our belongings. What impressed me most was their professionalism and efficiency. They completed the move within the timeframe he had originally quoted. The team was careful with our furniture and belongings, and they made what could have been a stressful day much more manageable. For an in-complex move, having the right equipment and experienced crew makes all the difference, and they delivered on both fronts. He clearly knows what he's doing and leads a solid team. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends and family.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!  EVEN IF IT IS YOUR ONLY OPTION! RENT A UHAUL AND MOVE YOURSELF IF YOU HAVE TO!   I am a physician moving from DC to Michigan for work and I thought a moving company would help me settle in quickly since I needed to start at the hospital just two days after arriving in town.  But using this company turned out to be the worst consumer decision I have ever made.   Moving is always stressful but Great Nation Van Lines has a knack for making the process SO MUCH worse.     Things started off well, the agent I worked with quoted a fair price and the packing movers showed up on time and did a great job.     HOWEVER, once the company had all my things and I was at their mercy, the horrific service and trickery began.     1.  PRICES CHANGE UNEXPECTEDLY:  The agent came back with a new price that did not reflect the calculations on the invoice.  They claimed that the agent had made a typo and that I would need to pay double the original agreed upon price.  Thank god I saved every document they gave me so after many emails and phone calls they agreed to the original pricing.   2.  THE OWNER IS RUDE AND UNTRUSTWORTHY:  Every time I spoke with the owner, David, he yelled and wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise, he would cut me off mid-sentence.  It is difficult to accurately describe what a rude and self absorbed human being this man is but I don't recommend finding out for yourself.  He has no concept of empathy for the customer and is only interested in discussing his own hardships with his business.     After solving the price mixup, I got final confirmation of the date and time frame of the drop off and took time off from the hospital (not an easy thing to do with late notice as a doctor).  Then less than 12 hours before their scheduled arrival time I got a call from the driver saying that they would arrive a day later.  They did not have an agent call to give me a proper explanation for the change, they had the driver tell me in an offhand comment.     I was baffled after hearing this from the driver so I called the owner who said things were very busy for him in his business and that he had to take care of someone else first.  I explained that it is very difficult for me to take time off from my work because I work in the medical field.  He then proceeded to lecture me and tell me that I should be more understanding of his situation, that "as a doctor I need to learn to handle emergencies and difficulties".  I was livid at this point and said I needed to get off the phone.  Later on I received text message apologies.       3.  THEY DO NOT HONOR AGREEMENTS:  After the issue with the charges and the last minute time change the owner said he would offer me a $250 discount and that the movers would arrive the next day between 8am and 10am.  I agreed and went to take out the exact amount of remaining money and managed to find a friend to be at the house during drop off.     The movers arrived an hour late outside the window and upon arrival the driver told my friend that the payment was not enough and that if I didn't come up with the additional $100 they would drive away with my things.  I had to leave the hospital in the middle of working with a patient to deal with the issue after the owner called yelling and threatening me.     The movers left their garbage, did not finish setting up the furniture and did not unpack.  I was told by the agent that I was getting a full service move with packing, shipment and unpacking.  At this point I am exhausted from the poor treatment from the owner and the company that I'd rather unpack, set up furniture and throw garbage myself.   I deeply regret having used Great Nation Van Lines.  Don't make the same mistake I did, do yourself a favor and use another company or move yourself.      .
